Since I'm lounging around, I was wondering if someone could tell me what a guild f30 nt, made in Hoboken NJ is worth. I believe the year it was made was in the 60s.

It needs a neck set.
It needs a bridge replaced.
It has cracks, 4 to be exact.

More than that, it will need a setup.

Help a guy out boys...
Im in a pinch here...
Oh! It has its ohsc!! Would that boost its value slightly?

The 60s vintage Guild F-30s were known as The Aragon and was in production from '54-'86 and rereleased as the F-30 in 1998. A 60s F-30 in mint condition with OHSC would be worth in the vicinity of $1,800 to $2,000 but whereas yours has what appears to be considerable damage and needing a fair bit of work, the value would be markedly less. I'd hesitate giving you an estimate because it would be impossible to do so without evaluating the depth and length of the cracks and the causes of the bridge lifting. The guitar would be worth getting fixed up to playing condition but a complete reconditioning and restoration wouldn't be worth the expense considering what a mint condition F-30 goes for these days.

I'm glad to be some help.I doubt very much though if I could give you a very exact appraisal as I'm not a luthier or even an appraiser,I just quote current market values and data I have acquired over the years. You'd get a much better idea of the true worth by going to a luthier in your area who has a good reputation.A ballpark figure from what you described would be about 1/2 the market value because the damage is somewhat considerable.Lots of luck with it because once you get it back in playing condition it will be a great sounding and playing guitar because Guilds of that era had a unique voice with a pronounced bottom end which projected extremely well.

If I haven't welcomed you to the Forum before, welcome to the Forum.
There is an old Forum adage that says "if there aren't pic's it doesn't exist" or some thing similar, so, with that said, could you post some pic's |Searcher_Mark|?
