I have been listening to Child of The Moon on constant repeat for over an hour now and figured that the time was long overdue to order the CD version of my favoufite Stones album which is: December's Children (and everybody's) even though Child Of The Moon isn't on it,it's my still my favourite and the very first album I bought-even before my Beatle albums-out of money my parents gave me for acing grade 6. So what album/song by The Stones turns your crank?

My favorite was Sticky Fingers. I still have the vinyl with the working zipper on the front of the Andy Warhol-designed album cover.

Brown Sugar, Wild Horses, Moonlight Mile, I Got the Blues, Can't You Hear Me Knocking . . .

My fave album too.
I am drawn to "I Just Want to See His Face" like a moth to a flame. Dunno why but that song is mesmerizing to me.

I'm torn between the "big five"--Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out, Sticky Fingers, and Exile On Main Street...

Beggar's Banquet was a great "ok, cut the psychedelic pop crap, let's be what we are" type of statement. Sympathy for the Devil was the first song I ever learned to play on guitar.

LIB and GYYYO were the first two Stones albums I ever owned...thus, I love them both. Plus, Midnight Rambler (live version) was the first song I ever learned to play on harp.

I think Sticky Fingers is possibly the best-produced and most balanced album they ever made...it showcases everything that make the Stones what they are...

But my favorite is probably their sloppy, muddy mess of pure musicianship--Exile on Main Street. The way it was made, the ridiculous rock star lifestyle, the awesome material they were writing, the whole thing is just amazing.

Favorite song?
Shine a Light
or Love in Vain (live Ya Ya's version)
or Sympathy
or Can't You Hear Me Knockin'
or...

I still have the original "Have You Seen Your Mother Baby(Standing In The Shadow)"45 in the original jacket with them dressed in drag on the back cover with Bill in a stewardess uniform sitting in a wheelchair. The flip side had one of their best blues songs "Who's Driving Your Plane?"I really loved them back then when Brian used to bring in all kinds of strange instruments to augment their sound.

My favourite song by far is Jumping Jack Flash. I'm far happier though that my 3 year old requests (and sings along to) You Can't Always Get What You Want. It makes me feel like I'm bringing her up right. 8)

1. Englands Newest Hitmakers - because it got the ball rolling for me with songs like Carol, Not Fade Away and I'm a King Bee.
2. Sticky Fingers for Wild Horses, Can't you Here Me Knockin' and You Gotta Move
3. Rolling Stones Now!- great LP from start to finish.
4. Love You Live - for the El Mocombo set that I was lucky enough to attend (by accident I went to see April Wine  )
5. Exile on Main Street another great one from start to finish.
