Does Fender have one of the highest percentages of customer satisfaction in the industry? It seems like everyone on here is happy with their own Fender and if you post a photo of your guitar, everybody loves them. There are literally 99 positive posts and 1 negative post out of 100 posts. Are most Fender customers happy? I am as pleased with Fender as I've ever been pleased by any other band, and I like the brand so much that I've bought 2 Fender t shirts and I put a Fender sticker on my car. Fender has become a "lifestyle icon" like Harley Davidson.

Fender is a symbol of goodness. It's like your favorite dish cooked by the girls of your dreams, followed by dessert and her as dessert.

Cheers

I love their product, but their customer service, in my experience, is nothing brag about.

7 months to get a replacement neck for a MIA Srat, after the repair was "Authorized", is ridiculous.

But still you don't know if it was really Fender, do you? Could just as well have been your dealer.

Cheers

In the almost 40 years that I've owned and played Fender instruments and amplifiers I've only had one warranty related problem-a warped neck-not only did they send me a replacement but sent it out to me before they received the faulty one. I was livid over such piss-poor treatment.

Guits,

I can tell you that your experience was not my experience. My dealer contacted Fender over this issue in early September 2011. The issue was verified a warranty issue and authorized for a replacement that same month. by December the neck had not arrived at the dealer. I e-mailed Fender Customer Service and was told via email that warranty replacement necks took 90 to 120 days to replace. As of mid February 2012 the neck still had not arrived. I e-mailed the same Fender customer service rep. and he got right on it. The neck was at the dealer by the beginning of March.

I am not making this up! I love Fender products but, they are not real quick on this issue of warranty replacement.

Wow. Did they have to cut a tree first?

:?

I still have trouble to believe this. But you seem to be well documentd.

Cheers

David,

I have no cause to create a false story. I own some 10 different Fenders/Squiers guitars and two Fender amps. I would love to have several more.

My only reason to post this story is to express my dismay and hopefully Fender will find a better way to take care of the folks who have already bought their products and need help. I did everything that was required up front. Paperwork proof of purchase everything. I even gave them more than 120 days before I really started to complain. My dealer did what was required of them. Straight up!

I can only think that Fender must be having hard economic times and lacks the proper number of employees to handle these matters.

Maybe some processes went wrong. Sounds like somebody screwed up. I can hardly understand why your dealer wasn't insisting more.

Cheers

Any mass-produced product will have a couple jems, good stuff and a few turds. The bell curve of Statistics.

Aftermarket customer service in any industry is tough. Until you've worked in Warranty or Cust Svc, you can't know how tough. And then coming to work, every day, to hear how your product sucks and the angry customer is going to call the FBI if you don't send them a brand new _____ and ship it by rocketship....

Yup, 'be likin' the Fenders in this harem.

I never had any problems with warranty work, but it did take six weeks to get a stupid GDec replaced. Way too long in my opinion. My Strat in 72 had a bad volume pot, and none of my amps from 65 to 76 ever required any work at all. The only other amp I had a problem with was the HRDlx, but they always covered the repairs in a timely manner.
