Joseph Kony has abducted 30,000+ children in Uganda Africa and is forcing them to go around killing others and their own parents. The young girls are taken and used as sex slaves. This is only an attempt to finally get him arrested. He's been at these schemes for like 27 years....

I'm all about it.. Been spreading the word about him for the past few years. The picture in my avatar has me wearing an Invisible Children shirt that I bought from their website. Made in Uganda. I try to wear it at our bigger concerts, and usually get asked about what it is. Most people think it's a band. But when I tell them what it is, it gets people more interested.

SWEET!
I'm dead broke right this instant, or I'd get myself a few t-shirts,
it's time to get this under control.

Whilst its great to give exposure I don't like the way it portrays what is actually going on. This man is only one part of the problem, and it doesn't have a simple answer.

Plus its said that only around 30% of donated money through this charity even reaches uganda, and this even supports the ugandan government who themselves commit terrible crimes and have a legal army joining age of 13.

Some of these top dogs in the charity are reportedly earning over $80000 a year too, its alright for some

However I guess if it gets more people to research whats going on then thats great, but there is not a simple answer to these countries, no magic fix.

I support the Christian Children's Fund which uses only 15-20% of the funds collected for administration purposes.I have a foster child from Ethopia in a little village just outside Adis Ababa. This child is my second as my first child finished school and his family became self sufficent raising livestock that we supplied them with through our donations.Throughout the year you are given the opportunity to help out the child's village as well by providing the funds for an artesian well for instance or providing books and other supplies for the school.

The Ugandan army rapes and loots just as much as the LRA, and Kony is no longer even IN Uganda, yet IC continues to support them.

Ok.. So I'm afraid this is starting to go down a path to flameville. I will still continue to support IC and their efforts for my own reasons. Others will choose not to and that's ok too.

I'm not looking to get into any political debates about it. So all that's left for me to say really is good day to all.

+1
Snowjoe, thank you for your honesty, now-a-days the truth is not politically correct so most people choose not to acknowledge the truth.

I see what you mean here, and it may not be only his fault, I've never been to Uganda, I'm not sure what's goin' on over there, but I know it's not right,

It's also not right that these guys are getting $80,000 a year, and only about 30% being sent to help, but that 30% is something isn't it?

The way I see it, put a stop to this, then we can work to put a stop to the rest of the governmental issues.

I'm sorry, I didn't know these facts when I posted this video, I just saw it was moving and thought everyone should watch it.

If you are religious or not (i personally am not) i don't think this is an issue that has to involve any religion at all. Any right, moral person would agree that what Kony is doing is completely wrong and quite frankly disgusting.

Even if the charity isn't giving 100% funds the the problem once the media take full hold of it Kony himself will probably be arrested or killed. However the problems in Africa like this have been going on for many years and will not be solved by protesting against one man.

Seriously, please don't try to get religion involved in this, because then there's pretty much no way for anybody to disagree (and have an actually discussion) without getting ridiculously offended.

And seriously, the charity is a massive scam. I support the cause, but not the organization, and IC will not be getting a single penny of mine.

Also, little fun fact, oil was recently discovered in Uganda, and now this documentary and the resulting movement have oh-so-conveniently popped up. What makes this even more suspicious is the fact that Kony is no longer even in Ugandan and the LRA hasn't had any major activity in about 3 years, yet they still use Uganda as the focus of the "movement". It's an EXTREMELY shady situation.
