Hello there,anyone out there got any details/specs of the MP90 pickups used in the new Modern Player guitars,curious if "vintage" flavour or "hot",alnico or ceramic magnets and where sourced from:eg-Tonerider/Seymour Duncan?

Johnny, my guess would be Seymour Duncan clones outsourced to a licensed Fender manufacturer. I couldn't resist trying one the other day at GC, my curiosity was partly that it is so affordable because it's made in China and there have been some threads lately about Chinese made guitars being sub-standard. I played it without an amplifier and liked the sound and playability, not a good sign because now I want one. It would have been better for my G.A.S. if it was terrible, lol. Hope this helps.
