There's been several mentions in the news lately of some science that was recently published about folks actually have an ability versus the capibility of evaluating one's own skills...

It's pretty basic, but the reason some folks think excessively highly of themselves, or decide that a difficult task is quite simple is often that they don't have the skills to honestly measure their performance or evaluate the difficulty of a task...

The "Pointy Haired Boss" of the Dilbert comics isn't a stereotype after all.. He's the epitome of someone inherently unskilled supervising folk who's skills he doesn't share and performance he can't begin to evaluate...

Bottom line... the better a beginner becomes the more they realize how far they have to go... and those of us who've been playing for 45 years REALLY know how badly we suck at some things<G>

I guess it's all good, or else the beginners would give up after the first try instead of working through the basics to their first three chord performance<G>

Maybe this individual just doesn't have the chops to recognize where his performance stands in relation to other folks work???

It's been fun reading some of the stuff in this one....
After all,Mr. Ludnuts,is an accomplished artist with his own studio, record label, and several albums, including either two or three greatest hits compilations...I have tried unsuccesfully to find anything about him and his band on the 'net, but it's underground music he says...I don't know about that but I would think that an established artist in any genre of music would be used to critics.....at least in my professional music career of roadhouse playing critics can be found and if they're really critical, then a physical response can be expected, especially when the critic is a bar owner who doesn't want to pay. 8)

in closing, funyun rings are good to eat and i don't know what they are made of.

My favorite chips are the sea salt and vinegar potato chips...I have to buy the small packages because otherwise I'll eat the whole bag, and that's not good for me.

My favorite crackers are Reduced Fat Wheat Thins...they're crunchier than regular Wheat Thins.

To allow behaviour like that to go unchecked is in fact condoning it as the child sees it and he/she after a while has the very mistaken impression that what they are doing is perfectly "normal" and acceptable and they evolve into adults with extremely disturbing social and psychological problems.

When the mods at the Gibson forum banned a member who is also a member of this forum they were sendng a message loud and clear that lying, insulting people and generally causing bad feelings and mayhem among forum members is quite acceptable and to try and have this sort of thing nipped in the bud is not right. How's that for reinforcing negative behaviour?

I agree for sure, I did try to help him and he blew up etc.... Yes I got a vacation from there after I sent a few PM's to Admin about their deleting threads and actually allowing him and taking his side with the story it was him and dad sharing the PC. My final post at Gibson was this forum lacks something very important, being consistent.

And yes lil Fenderguy is over there posting his grand pictures of TV's he finds in the trash. What I just can't believe is that a family even a single mother (unsure about martial status) would allow her son to go through garbage and bring old TV's home and just plug them in. People just do not throw TV's away, and one day one of those devices is going to bite him hard with a few hundred volts of zapping power.

What I will say about Fenderguy is that he is very young, maybe 12 and its not my place to say if he can join and post at a adult forum. I do believe once he gets past his fav subjects (TV's, ACDC, Jimi Hendrix, wanting a 100w Marshall and Fender should make a amp like a Marshall) and starts learning to play guitar he will be a addition to any forum.

The OP of this thread has issues, I do not know him personally so I don't know what those issues are currently. What I do know is it has to be real difficult trying to merge with society and play in the sandbox nicely with everyone else while being so negative. His subject matter of all his songs are negative reflections of life, he acts as if he is antisocial in the real world. One of his first posts at Gibson he was bragging about being a guitar teacher; then he released a few links. The original comments at Gibson started just questioning his posts and knowledge of how to use equipment (unsure if he actually owns that equipment although there are some nice things in his video). He immediately became defensive and this set the over all tone going forward.

This dude sounds like a legend in his own mind. Unfortunately, by even posting on this thread, inadvertently gives this $@! clown more attention than he deserves. This is what these types feed off of, whether it be positive or negative. It's best to try and ignore him. I know that can be difficult sometimes. Especially, when someone is really obnoxious. This is why I hate comment sections on some websites, especially Yahoo and You Tube. It gives voice to the most moronic jack offs around. It doesn't matter what the subject matter is, either.

It seems that Numbnuts has taken another hike-whether self imposed or not I couldn't care less,I'm just relieved to be rid of the human hemmoroid.
