I only recently changed the saddles on the old Strat that I described in another thread, mainly because of the wear you can see in this image. I rest the heel my hand against the edge of the bridge when I play and over the years (like 35 or so) I kept wearing molecules off both my hand and the bridge. I grew mine back. Finally, about 6 months ago, the little screw fell out of what had been its little hole and I had to get a new set of saddles. This picture was taken about 10 years ago.

Hi Kirk: you are wearing molecules off your hand and onto your bridge, and also molecules off your bridge and onto your hand. Gradually over the years your hand and bridge are swapping places. Eventually you will have a guitar bridge on the end of your arm and a hand on the front of your guitar.

...Any Flann O’Brien readers here, I wonder?

Cheers - C

Coolest thread I have seen in a while. I like far out stuff like this. Thanks or the pics. Very neat-o!
Maybe Fender can add this feature to their Relic line.
