Hi Rollie, How's things man? I was just browsing through and saw Mike's post and wow! what a shock that was. I hope there's going to be some kind of positive outcome there.
Anyway, I hope you are doing fine Rollie with lots of fulfilled gas attacks and busy playing your bass to wooing crowds and generally happy and successful with life and of course, the music.
Since we last spoke I have acquired a few more bits and pieces, firstly a red mij strat with SD pups on and very nice it is, maple board good action.
Then I treated myself to a baha tele, custom shop mexi and man! what a sound, oddly enough brilliant for Peter Green style stuff, a black one with maple board again.
Then a Vox ac30 to compliment the above and yes, woah, does it do that.
Finally something I've been wanting since I once frequented those cellar clubs in the sixties in the north of england and played by a lot of the guitarists back then, including the great ' David John and the Mood '...well there lead player anyway.
Yes it is the Gibson 335. A red one and a real beaut I have to say, credit where it's due, excellent for blues. And I think that takes my total guitars now to 28, I might slow down one day...maybe not. ha.
Talk again later Roland, bye for now and take care my old chum.
Rhumba

Hi Glenn, I'm getting by okay but I don't get much free time these days, this care job is very time consuming, I only get about an hour or so a week for guitar playing and I do a lot of catching up with my sleep. Awake most of the night I'm afraid.
However I do manage to get out thursday nights to a local folk bar with an old group friend, one from the first band I ever played with, the Bluenotes. So you can imagine there is lots of talk about the old days and he also still has quite a lot of equipment, so we will have sessions as soon as we can.
I hope everything is good with you my friend and getting lots of playtime on your guitars and the Marshall I remember you purchasing some time back. Good for Snowy White stuff eh?
I've been listening to a lot of Warren Haynes lately, wow! I am really impressed with that guy, I was late getting around to his playing but I'm catching up now.
So anyway, take care man and I hope the family is all well.
Cheers pal.

Hi Mike, it's good to be here, I've been missing the place, it's been a long time since the likes of us started out in the forum and the years roll by. Like you say about the birthday's, yep! they're here again it seems like they speed up by the year but as long as we still feel young eh? 6th October, I'll put a shout out in case anyone wants to buy us a card or even a present, ya know ( wink wink )
Hope you're doing ok Mike, I see you're still posting strong but hopefully managing to do some playing as well eh? Do you still have the jam sessions and busy with all things musical? You always seemed to have plenty going on in you're life, well keep it going and enjoying, I'm going to try and make more time but I have been somewhat busy lately but I play when I can.
So cheerio mate, I'll see you around the forum.

Yeah, doing okay here my friend. In fact, yesterday drove down
and met FrankieTheKid (a forum member who posts occasionally)
and we jammed a bit. He's a great dobro player and has a nice setup
down there (about an hour away).
Still doing occasional gigs, regular jams and always doing home
recordings. Actually got kind of lucky and someone chose one of my jingles to use recently.
So, I can't complain, but I still do once in awhile anyway. :D
Again, good to hear from ya again!

edited for NDA reasons.

That's great to hear Mike, glad everything's going well. Did a bit of library and jingles work myself back in the 90's, good fun, best of luck with that and enjoy the royalties. :D
Cheers man.

Rhumba, things are good man. My only gas movement was lateral, lol, I traded my Peavey TNT straight-up for a new Acoustic B300H. Back to the basics, 600 high gain watts and 4/15"s. Life is generally alright but it's good to see your post. Congratulations, new gear awesome day! Red is my favorite color, double red is better! Blues and a Gibson 335 were made for each other, lol. A black baha Telecaster, be careful when you gig with that guitar you might get some ladies pregnant
Cheers Steven,
Rollie (SBLS)
