Rhumba , I took the liberty of checking out all I could find of (Magna Carta). All completely new to me. I especially enjoyed "Fields Of Eden" & "Back Roads" The pictorial accompaniment along with the poetry & music is really quite something. Thanks for bringing it to light.

Hi Danny, I've ordered the 'Seasons' cd I had the album back in the old days, it was one of my favourites of the time. I hope it still sounds as good, I think it will, it had a timeless romance about it, great for a sentimental old sod like me. :D
Like Roland said, they and some other groups of the time had a Moody Blues feel to them and I think Magna Carta had a Simon and Garfunkel vibe too. Glad you enjoyed their music Danny, 'Seasons' might be a cd worth investing in yourself, for those cold winter nights, although spring is almost on us now but the seasons do pass don't they. :D
Maybe too fast for some of us old geezers.

Nice one Roland! Here's one from the sixties Cubi days. I might have put this one up before but it was a sound and style typical of those cellar club days...but not that dancing!...no!no!...not that dancing!

if you liked that charlatans song, try this. soon as i heard the bass of that charlatans tune, i thought of kula shaker, when they covered 'Hush'. which that charlatans bassline is a total rip of

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZ4vK0VUGu0

and from the height of Uk '90's indie, kula shaker again with 'Hey Dude'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDHd-vxcMDo

ive just watched videos of the band, and the singer always has a fender strapped on. '90's uk indie was when i was finding my musical taste, and i was in the middle of this very exciting time in british music. love it. the Stone Roses and Reef have my 2 favourite guitarists.

Hey Rhumba!
Yes, I do still have a Fender, it's the '68 sunburst reissue in my avatar
I just fool around at home now , but still keep in contact with a few old music buddies , including Mike Sweeney, the lead singer with the Salford Jets (he and I go way back) , played alongside him twice, once when their rhythm/second lead guitarist couldn't make 2 gigs and again when we played at a local club, we had tonsilitis (both me and the bass player!), so Mike joined us on the second set for a 40 minute improvised rock and roll set (with everything in the key of "A")
I still keep in touch on facebook, here he is with someone you may recognise
(Mike is in the middle)

I imagine you're probably familiar with this site, but here it is just in case: http://www.manchesterbeat.com/index.php I found it a long time ago on one of my web explorations.
