Post subject: i need some help here dating my bass

i got this one bass from my friend he says its a 67 p bass but i wasnt sure. i looked at the butt end of the neck and the stamp is worn to the point where i cant read it. are there anyother ways i can get the percise date for my instrument? PLEASE HELP

Is it bad that the first thing that entered my head when I read this thread (I'm a poet and a don't know it!) was of the issues of courting a bass guitar?

I thought the same thing about courting a bass. If it's female, buy her chocolates and flowers. If it's male,.............?
