Hey guys! I'm going to be moving into my university's dorm soon. And I've recently bought a little practice amp that I could carry around easily. Now, all I need is a headphone to plug into my "Roland Micro Cube" amp, so I don't have to worry about bothering my roommates. Some things I'm looking for would be:

- Good quality sounding. Mainly for electric guitar. A headphone that could sound clean and also could stand guitar effects or high gain distortion at loud volume.
- Must be comfortable for hours of playing. NOT a headphone that would overheat and make my ears hurt / sweat so much.
- Not too expensive, the cheaper the better, but expensive enough for good quality practice on my own if you know what I mean.
- Effectively block outside noise.
- Would be nice if it's foldable.

BTW Question: Could different headphones get different amount of single coil pickup hum? Perhaps there's one (Noise-cancelling?) that could minimize the hum? Because I'm sure wearing a headphone with those single coil hum so close to your ears could be annoying and hurt your ears, especially if you're practicing for a long time.

CHEERS : )

Hi, the noice cancelling ones would be great, but they are expensive.
My preferences are Sennheiser HD-280 Pro and more recently I've been
using the Koss PortaPros (love or hate the design, but there's no denying
the sound quality).
