I love the "Plexi" sound, but I don't want the real thing. I don't want to haul around a 412 cab & Plexi head, they are way too loud for all but the biggest venues, & lastly they are expensive.

I have an OCD v4 (Fuller's take on a JTM 45) & it's a very natural sounding pedal to my ears on lower drive settings. The issue is, the OCD is (IMO) dark & even muddy at higher drive settings...

I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions for vintage sounding plexi pedals. I don't want anything that goes into high gain territory though. I'm after medium gain, vintage sounding Plexi tones. I do not want fake sounding, modded marshall, high gain 80's tones.

It's hard to find boutique pedals to try out before I buy.
Anyone have experience with either of these
