Just recently added some new pickups in a strat of mine. It seems that the tone pots go in and out. Sometimes they'll work, sometimes they won't. Did I miss a ground? Anyone have any better schematics? Thanks in advance!

Give us clear, concise pictures and we'll take it from there.

No camera. I would if I could. I'm an electronics caveman.

Unfortunately, we'd be guessing forever. Clearly though, you have a short somewhere.

- Verify all your soldering connections are well done.
- Verify that no stray wires or terminals are encroaching on each other.
- Verify that there are no internal breaks in any of your wires.

As to a wealth of excellent wiring schematics, Google is your friend.

Good luck!

Yeah, I know about Google and actually used schematics found on Google and an electronics for guitars book. Just doesn't add up. The pots blow in this thing whic may be the cause but I'm selling it once I get it up and running anyways. I borrowed my daughter's phone to take pictures. Not sure how well they'll come out. I'll upload them shortly.
