Brings back memories. I saw The Who at a fairly small theater in Ohio, and Magic Bus is the song I remember them by for some reason. Moon started the song out in front of the drum set, tapping some pipes together. They were still in their busting up equipment mode, but you could tell they were holding back so as not to break too much.

I always loved Pete's incredible pounding with is strumming hand and Keith's endless drum solo type drumming all the way through the songs. The way the Ox just used to stand there as still as a statue and pound out the most incredible bass lines really set them off. When I was doing solo gigs in clubs I used to do a medley of Magic Bus,I Can See For Miles and Mary Anne With The Shakey Hands on acoustic.I was over the moon when people told me they never saw anyone pound the strings as hard as I did.I guess all these years of idolizing Townshend too rubbed off on me.When I get my mitts healed I`m looking forward to getting back to pounding the strings again.

Magic Bus is killer. My grandma jams to it a lot, ironically, she's a bus driver.
