Regret is a thousand times worse than rejection. There's never going to be a perfect time, or the perfect thing to say, you just have to muster up that courage and go for it. You won't regret trying, even if the outcome isn't what you hoped for, but I can guarantee you will regret it for a long long time if you let this slip by and you do nothing.

You have many people including myself rooting for you 100%. Having said this and as we say in America: "(It's time to) $h!t or get off the bowl!" We've collectively said all we can say, even having a female chime in to advise you. What more can anyone ask for? Riley, it is time! All that's left for us to read and/or comment on is the results of your immediate and complete follow through, for better or for worse. Anything else renders the perpetuating of this thread useless. Dig? Go for it!!

Riley, you've broken the ice a bit. This week ask her how how she is liking her classes this year. Be yourself and if anything is to come out of this encounter, it will be. Window of opportunity is narrowing.

Make sure you wave or say hi EVERY class.

Gets her used to seeing you and knowing you are seeing her.

Ultra casual comments are hip, too. "Hey, in English, did I miss what the teacher said about the assignment, was it chapter 4 we have to outline?" "That class was kind of fun, you think so, too?" "Have a good weekend." Keep it light and upbeat.

When you sense a pace and mood in ultra-casual conversationand relation, things will develop on their own. Best of fortune.

If you're afraid of girls.....well....get used to it.

My 26th anniversary is Thursday. I'm still afraid of them (and don't understand them much, still)

Get her to start talking about herself, then tell her what you want to do (like call her and talk or hang out). She will enjoy talking about herself and dig your self confidence. This method works 60% of the time every time.

Riley, remember that a sincere smile and a sincere compliment will get you far in life. Try give her a compliment but nothing to douchy. Teenage girls usually wake up way earlier than boys to "make them selves pretty" and it means alot to them if someone notices.

And I agree with most of the other posts, just talk to her. I tortured myself when I was your age and finally when I got the gourage to stammer my feeling to that girl she turned me down  but I felt like a heavy weight was lifted of me. :D It is unhealthy to bury your feelings in so just go for it.

Riley, do the letter thing once you've known her a bit longer. It worked out great for me :D
