I was bored the other night and thought I would design a hybrid suggested to me a while ago.

It was just a bit of fun but I was quite please with how it turned out, so, opinions?

Why not give it a classic Telecaster bridge while you're at it?

cool beans dude, I'm doing something similar! I'm rerouting a strat body to accept a jag upper control plate and electronics, but will only have 2 single coils and be wired ala a jazzmaster.

Keep us posted on your progress dude, I'd love to see how she turns out!

A Tele bridge would restrict the options for bridge pick-up. Unless it was modified of course. A fixed strat bridge seems like the best option at the moment, but I've left it blank because I'm interested in what others play. Also, I didn't angle the bridge pick-up because I'm an ambidextrous guitarist and I like guitars that are easily flipped.

You could do something ridiculous, like have a custom cast Tele bridge with a thicker bottom section and have the screw holes moved to the front and make it Strat block compatible. That would probably be really complicated, but cool to see in action.
