Hey gentlemen!

I'd like to change the bridge on my Mexican Strat from tremolo to fixed. I don't use the whammy bar and I'd like to change that.

Is there anyway I can fix the tremolo one? Or only buying a fixed bridge to replace?

Thanks for the tips!

I'm going to try finding a guy around here to do that. I haven't been playing for long, so I don't really want to mess around. I'm afraid I might damage something. Thanks, bro.

You won't damage a thing. There is no danger of damaging anything.

Remove the rear cover. Find the 2 screws that attach the spring claw to the guitar. There should be at least a half inch of screw showing between the claw and the wood. Tighten the screws alternating back and forth. One turn, switch, one turn, switch until the bridge is flat to the body. Replace the rear cover. Or don't replace it. Whatever you wish. Done. A Philips screwdriver and about 5 minutes is all it takes.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
