The readers of Vintage Guitar Magazine have chosen the Fender blackface Deluxe Reverb to be in the V.G. HOF this year. The DR greatly outvoted Gibson's Les Paul Jr. and even the Firebird and Gretsch Duo Jet.The DRs versatility for stage and studio,it's lush reverb and superb tremolo were among the features that got it voted in by such a wide margin.I'd love to have one of these puppies in my music room,of course I would imagine that Arjay has at least one of these beauties in his stable.

Yeah, hard to believe it took as long as it did. Those are great amps, and I think Arjay currently has two...mebbe three, and probably on the lookout for another one to get the SPANKMASTER treatment :!: :!:

Thanks!,they all sound somewhat different but very similar, they have their own character, the Deluxe Reverbs are classics, light, and giggable, when cranked to 5 or 6 you start getting some good breakup and if you need to do bigger rooms or outside gigs, easy to mic and get a great sound....it would be a great amp to own if you could only own one tube amp.
The next step up and close second choice is the BF Vibrolux Reverb with 2x10s,another great amp.

The dream scenario, at least my dream scenario, is meeting someone who has a vintage Fender amp like this 'cos it belonged to someone in their family who left it to them and they don't want it and don't know about the vintage amp scene and you get it for a snip, like "give me £50 for it or something!"

Trouble is you never get deals like that because everyone knows what everything's worth these days :(

Reb...thanks for the BF and SF Amp Porn...can never see too many amps on here! Those are some sweet amps...they compliment those "Brownies" and look to be just about as clean!
