I too have recently bought a MIA Fender with a faulty nut. I tested the guitar out in the shop and it seemed fine, but after playing for a couple of hours it developed a terrible buzzing behind the nut so I took it straight back to the shop, they did a repair on the nut so all was well. Then about a month later (with very little playing maybe about 5 hours at most), the buz came back so I said I don't want it just patching up I want a new nut or a new guitar. Well it's a Telebration (limited to 500 pieces), and they're all spoken for so no chance of a new guitar, so the guitar is in the shop waiting for a new nut from Fender.

The shop have been good enough to offer me another guitar while mine gets fixed, I said if they find out it's going to take a long time I may take them up on it.

I've bought guitars online before, most notably my MIM Tele which was perfect out of the box.

As I've said in another thread in over 30 years of buying guitars this MIA is the firest one ever that I've had to take back to the shop.
