I have a wierd memory, like it's not special or anything, but like at times random pictures will come to mind of things I've seen before and have nothing to do with what's goin' on right now,
well, my most recent 'picture' was of a head of a guitar, it said Starocaster or Starcaster or something, am I right in saying Fender doesn't make an electric guitar called a Starcaster?
I may have read it wrong and it said Stratocaster, but I don't think it did.
I saw it at a pawn shop a while back...
does someone make a copy of the strat and call it a Starocaster?
Or am I seriously crazy(er)?
Thanks♥

They do! There is either a current range of very entry level guitars they make called a starcaster or an old 70s semi hollowbody electric called a starcaster that wasn't too popular.

So its likely that you could indeed have seen it and you aren't going mad

Here's a pic of a '70s "Fender Starcaster":
Image

Here's a pic of a current "Starcaster by Fender"" Image

Note: the current things aren't "Fender Starcasters" (as in "Fender" = brand and "Starcaster" = a model made by Fender). They're "Starcaster by Fender" brand guitars -- they make a couple of different models of "Starcaster by Fender" guitars. Here's a different model "Starcaster by Fender" with a different headstock shape.Image

so......
are they kind of like squire to fender?
I like the 70's model, the one I saw looked almost identical to the middle picture, just in much worse shape,

Over the years, Fender has improved the Squier line so much that the Squiers no longer fill the lowest-end market -- they've grown too upscale. So Fender started the "Starcaster by Fender" brand to fill in the cheap end, a couple of notches below the Squier brand.

Yes, Tessa, you are crazy, but it has nothing to do with the Starcaster...it's because you're a teenager. ALL teenagers are a little bit insane.

You'll get better, eventually...by your early twenties! :P

(just kidding...maybe)

I think 30 is when things really start falling into place. 40 is better still. And I believe true adulthood must arrive somewhere around 50.

So plenty of craziness still to go, Tessa. 8)

Cheers - C

Hmm... well I think I know where Fano got the idea for his headstock design. :?

I would agree with your "age 30" assessment if Tessa were male...however, females of the human species get their minds (relatively) "together" a bit earlier. The fact that she's a Texas (Young) Woman gives her another edge on the general male populace. 8)

Lady Armadillo was "together" MUCH earlier than myself...true, she has small patches of insanity present here and there...but my personal Jackassery lasted far later than hers...and the truth be told, the thirteen year old in me still laughs at flatulence humor.

I'll agree 100% with you on one thing--the 40's are much better than all the previous decades, mentally...I'll get back with you in a little over eight years to discuss the 50's.

What?!?!
Are you saying all of this spontaneous awesomeness is going to go away?!
It's official. I may get older, but I'm never growing up.
