When you stop and think about it, how much do we really need? if I were a touring musician, I'd have to have a trailer just for me.

The way you lovingly spoke of that Les Paul, and the way you described it, no doubt in my mind, you were in love.

Oh, I'll get that amp eventually. I just let a 15% coupon slip by. More than likely the next 15% off coupon will be the day it's ordered.

No conspiracy Danny, just a thought, one that snuck out. By tomorrow there's no telling what will be the subject of conversation with all the voices in my head.

Who said anything about a conspiracy? Thats kind of a harsh word to be used in a conversation about our, or at least my, favorite material thing on the planet. I started an online search for a Bonamassa Studio or a Wine Red Studio Deluxe, there available now. I also checked around locally and had no luck at all. for the Bonamassa G.T. I did find a Wine Red Deluxe, with a hard case. Only $1,328.00 & about 30 miles away, so there's my outing for manana. As You Say. (STAY TUNED) 8)
----Danny,

The Wine Red sounds awesome.

Ox you should change the title of this thread to "GAS an epiphany". :P I too have been afflicted in the past. While not totally curable I have found that denying your impulse to buy it immediatly is a good strategy.

WANT vs NEED

I try to stay away from this internal (as mentioned - the voices in one's head) discussion because I don't like to think about whether I really NEED something. Truth is, I KNOW I don't need anything else in the way of guitars, amps, etc. But I also KNOW I WANT more gear. For me, it's not an epiphany, it's just warped reality.

Of course, I'm still gigging and the income from steady live performance covers a lot of WANT and goes a long way toward rationalizing the latest acquisition!

This all was just an effort to think rationally. It's not working. :D The voices won't quit! There are more irrational ones than rational ones. oh well, There's still room.

I have to show Wifey some of your pic of your gear, either she'll just say, "Oh, I guess you really don't have that much." or, "Oh no, we're not going there."
