I saw a live video of one of the new songs from the recent Cafe Wha? show, and it was MUCH better than "Tattoo"...

The only criticism from that clip was (believe it or not) Eddie's rhythm playing was very sloppy. That surprised me, because he always held that part down on every live clip I had ever seen/heard...

As for the new album, I'll reserve judgment until I hear it all; thus far it's fifty-fifty (one good, one bad).

Chef Wong, that's the first time that I've heard someone refer to Eddie's dopey kid as a better bass player then Mike Anthony.

Mike may not have been that flashy, and his solos were pretty silly live, but his bottom end really kept Alex on track and his backing vocals were pretty crucial live as well. I seem to hear his missing parts on any current live VH track I've seen and heard.

+1 I was going to respond to that statement, but I think Chef knows better, he's just trying to be a cheer leader for the new effort. I've read there's three tracks on the new CD worth paying for. I'll have to check them out. I don't hate VH, just the image Eddies given me all these years. DLR said in a recent interview that he doen't think Eddie has ever enjoyed his stardom. That make me wonder how troubled the poor guy really is.
