I am thinking of picking one up. But I was just wondering what others think of them.. I really dig the relic look on them.

I've played a couple and thought they sounded and felt great.

Some people rag on them, but I say, "If you like it, go for it..."

I have played a few of them, and was pleasantly surprised at the feel and playability of them. The "broke in" look didn't totally turn me off; if I found a used one cheap I would probably pick it up and play it proudly...

I went looking around today at local GS and GC. And did not find one in sight. Gonna have to keep looking, but that is on the wish list. I am gonna go ahead and pick one up if I can find one. I really dig the Olympic white..
Thanks..

My guitar teacher, a veteran player of over forty years who has owned nearly every classic guitar you can think of, just bought one and absolutely loves it. And he generally knows what he's talking about. :) I've played some of them too and I liked every one of them.

I never found a RW Strat that had even a half decent setup. A did find a Tele that was nice. Play some and and my advice is don't buy on looks alone, play them for a while and take the one home that you liked when you played it. Too many players play one off the wall, like it, then make the sales guy go back and get a "fresh one" and take it home in the box. You'll never make a bigger mistake. Be sure the guitar picks you. The only thing I don't like about the RW series is they all look just about the same. Like pre worn jeans. It's all a matter of taste. If you like the look and it plays well, go for it. IMO, I think they could have better pickups for the money. The stock pups are less than stellar.
