hi , as today is the 30th anniversary of alex harveys death , his hometown of glasgow are holding a weekend of celebration for the last of the teenage idols , theres a tree being planted in his memory in glasgow green and an exhibition of memorabili and his son and the members of SAHB will be giving a talk in the peoples palace in glasgow green as well this afternoon . any other scottish members going to check it out ? cheers

i had a great time today , so did the wife went to the peoples palace and toured the exhibition which was spread out and there was a room showing video footage of the band , i went out for some fresh air and glen hughs struck up a conversation with me about frank zappa , telling me of the time the band supported frank on an american date and heres a wee photie of me and glen

they all told some great stories of the old days and there was plenty of laughing ,it was brilliant .
there was a tree planted in his honour and a seat in the winter gardens was unveiled , the family and friends are trying to raise funds for a bust of Alex in the future , there should be a video up on you tube in the next few days , cheers Alan

Wish that I could've been there Alan. Cool photos, the one of you and Chris I like very much. Must have been great talking with him, one of the best bass guitarists of all time IMHO.

hi SBLS , your not wrong mate , he was one of the best and during the Q+A session he revealed why he wore a cod piece , the bass used to rattle his nads and he'd end up in agony , so he took to wearing the cod piece , i'll keep my eyes open for the day being put up on you tube and post a link , cheers
