Hey there, just signed up here, thought i'd introduce myself. I've been playing guitar, bass, drums for over 8 years and just learned to play keys/synths. I record music at my home. My band, Jarvis Probes, just recorded a full-length and we've put it up online to stream and/or download. Every instrument except the basslines were improvised and recorded in under three takes. You can hear it (as well as other recordings of this band) here: http://www.octafish.bandcamp.com/album/jarvis-probes-lp

The guitars used were a late 90's Jaguar, an early 90's custom Tele, and a 1966 (or '68 i always forget) Mustang. The main bass used was a Jaguar bass (as a bassist, i hated most fender basses I had played until I laid my hands on the Jag. I will only play fender guitars, they are just way better than anything else).

Anyway, take a listen if you like and leave some comments. I'm very curious as to what other people think about these jams. enjoy.

thanks a lot for listening danny. Part of the reason I limit these recordings to three takes is because I want the music to 'breathe' and not be as rigid as a lot of technical music, so I leave mistakes in and I think it helps the more 'show-off' kind of guitar solos to sound less pretentious. Most of my favorite albums are ones where little mistakes are kept in and minor things like that.

Bolton, eh?

Praline: I understand that this is Bolton.
Shopkeeper: Yes.
Praline: Well, you told me it was Ipswich.
Shopkeeper: It was a pun.
Praline: A pun?
Shopkeeper: No, no, not a pun, no. What's the other thing which reads the same backwards as forwards?
Praline: A palindrome?
Shopkeeper: Yes, yes.
Praline: It's not a palindrome. The palindrome of Bolton would be Notlob. It don't work.
Shopkeeper: Look, what do you want.
Praline: No I'm sorry, I'm not prepared to pursue my line of enquiry any further as I think this is getting too silly.

Good tracks mate. Welcome to the forum!
