Which do you think is better for finding music, fellow hobbyists, and entertainment events (gigs)-MySpace or Facebook?

I probably should have done this as a poll. Sorry. Opinions are still good, especially why people think one is better than the other.

facebook isn't so good for music purposes... myspace is better for that but facebook seems to be better for just overall networking, but i prefer myspace to put my music on

I use neither. I still use a telephone to keep in touch with friends and family.

I still have a landline, I'm still thinking about making the jump into mobile phone land...I don't understand why people are constantly ON those things, the LAST thing I want to do is to talk to anyone on the phone if it isn't important, especially if I'm driving! 20 years ago, who would've thought that people walking around aimlessly and appearing to be talking to themselves about inane stuff would be considered normal? I think there is a reason why they invented telephone booths, and not just for the telephone, and not just for Superman to change clothes in-I think it used to be called privacy.

LOL....couldn't agree more. I don't have a cellphone. Don't want one. I don't know when being in touch anywhere, anytime became such an appealing thing. Most of the stuff I hear people talking about on cell phones is unimportant and inane. And who wants to be in contact with work after quitting time? Wireless technology has given coutless more free man hours compared to just 15 years ago. Now it's expected that managers are available 24/7. Gotta have that cell phone or pager. Remember pagers? I hated them too.

Same here. At my old job, I had a pager. I HATED it, because the messages I got usually weren't good ('NO, I'm NOT your parent OR Santa Claus!'). When I was deployed, I had to carry a heavy Motorola 'brick' (radio) 24/7. I definitely don't miss THAT (the radio or the deployment), either.

Sorry, I know I wandered WAY off topic.

i don't have a cell phone or anything of that sort... it seems i'm the only teen without one, but it doesn't bother me at all, it would just get annoying pretty quickly.... the only thing i would even consider is an iphone just for the necessary calls when not home because of the internet and mp3 features, but i'd rather not waste my money on something like that when you can get guitars
:D
