Looks cool but kinda questioning the fretboard. What the heck is Richilite?

Not a big fan of the studio model. For that cash and style of guitar I'd rather trick out an epi.

I have my eye on the traditional pro. I'm a sucker for the binding and the finish. I know it's a lot more jack for the top and binding and probably can't tell a difference between the two in a blind test but it it what it is.

Richlite is a man made material and in my opinion has no part on a guitar that expensive...

As for Alex Lifeson alternatives you could try to find a leftover Epiphone Les Paul ProFX, my brother owns one and it sounds great straight out of the box. After a quick set up and action adjustment it played even better. The Floyd Rose Special bridge holds in tune perfectly. If you can't find one of them to try there are other alternatives.

I'm sure there's more but that should get you started if you're looking for strictly a Les Paul styled guitar with a Floyd Rose. Do yourself a favor though and stay away from the Alex Lifeson Gibson models, a lot of people have issues with them.

Martin has been using it for fretboards and bridges on many acoustic models over the past three years.

Fair enough, I guess I should take a closer look next time there's one at my local store.
