So I know this pretty unimportant in the scheme of things but WHY do all of the Fender hoodies have to be black?

Over the years so many concert shirts or music shirts are black, really? Is it the cheapest or something? I understand from an inventory standpoint you don't get stuck with one color over another if no one wants to buy it but come on. I stopped buying shirts from places that I normally would just because I decided "no more black!"

How about blue? Red? Maybe only make them available in limit sizes and quantities to start out or something.

Or as I suggested some time ago, a "custom shop" for apparel. Take this color with that design instead of how it is now with a design that maybe you like but not on a camo shirt. I'm just saying.

Like I said, no big deal but I'd love to get a new hoodie to replace the worn out one but black is the only option. The guitars we all cherish are available in so many colors so why not the apparel showing the love?

It's possibly a "Roadie" thing. Y'know remaining inconspicuous while crawling around on stage. Personally I like the black but I see your point.
.....Mark.

I can understand the "roadie" angle, makes some sense. Black is ok but so many things only come in black, the lounge forum shirts were black btw, most concert shirts are black, the free giveway shirts were black, it's just kind of monotonous.

But the infinite colors of choices in guitars reflect the infinite personalities of the people that play them so why shouldn't the apparel reflect the same thing.

Black is the monotonous-uber-trite-ubiquitous vomitorious-ly common "blue jeans"...

...of hoodies?

Personally have no use for either.

Thanks for clearing that up  . Your impeccable fashion sense and brilliant use of the English language make you a truly superior being.

An astute observation Chris, perspicacity worthy of a Fender Forum member one of which you are and good to see your post. My hope is that you get your wish and other colors of Fender apparel will be offered in the near future. Just no tie dyed stuff. You my be too young to remember that old hippie fad, but it was awful.

Well Solid Body, I'm def not "too young" to remember tie dye. I have some tie dye apparel but not much. Not looking for Fender to do that, just some colors other then black.

Did I say I have some tie dye stuff, Solid Body would probably hate my Band of Gypsies strat then:

The tie dye color looks good on your Strat Chris. Back in the day when a lot of people were wearing tee shirts and other tie dye stuff it got very old very fast for me, sort of tie dye overload.

Yeah I gotcha. I can honestly say when it got to tie dye KISS shirts even I yelled ENOUGH! :D

I didn't buy that guitar just for the paint job, although I really like it, the neck is just so smooth and comfortable, plus I like the Humbucker.

Thanx though 8)

Olive green? That's a start. 8)

Nothing against that color either I just like bright colors, blue/red/orange/yellow.
