awh... I've always wanted to try one of those! Beautiful guitar though...

I guess there's always a remedy for GAS... like buying a new guitar (which may only be a temporary cure), or being a downright broke college student 8)

G.A.S. is the strongest intoxicant. Having hung around the Forums for a few years now, I have come to realize we all have it. That could be what draws us here. Nothing like the Fed Ex man struggling up the sidewalk.

Don't be ashamed or dismayed, you're perfectly normal, considering your condition. Just learn to live with it and live your life to the fullest.

Hi BMW-KTM your bad case of GAS is fully understandable,a guitar as sweet as that is very hard to resist. Please post pix when she comes.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Dang!!! Murphy is at it again! Tracking number says it's on the truck this morning for delivery but I have a doctor's appointment at 11 AM. You just know I'm gonna get home and find a slip of paper at the door. Then I'll hafta wait until after 6 to go and pick it up at the depot and I have plans for tonight. ARGHHH!!! :x

Here's keeping my fingers crossed for a mid afternoon delivery......

It's here!

It's a little rougher than I was expecting. I guess I thought the term BFG only referred to the finish .... as in a really thin coat of nitro without any buffing but the guitar is literally not finished. They didn't even finish doing the rough sanding let alone the final sanding on the body wood. I might get a sliver on this thing. First thing I did was to check the intonation with the Strobe. Only the 5th (A) needed any tweaking. It was slightly flat on twelve. The rest were either spot on or very close to it. The colour is more orange than I was expecting but I like it. I'm going to have to lower the bridge pup as it is way out of balance with the neck pup. The BurstBucker3 sounds quite a bit better than the original BurstBuckers I came to hate and loathe. It seems a little brighter and less muddy than I remember. The two pups work together quite well with almost a Tele like quality but warmer and fuller of course but spanky and chimey. The neck alone is definitley a true single coil. Noisy with added grind but very sweet.

Survey says ...... keeper.
