You might knock them and I had the same thought many years ago, but circa Summer 1981, just after John Lennon was shot, there was a outside concert at The Pier Head , Liverpool in memory of him.
A lot of top bands AND Kylie Minogue where on???
Do you know what, as much as I don't like her music, she took the place apart.
Boos and jeers went to cheers. She was absolutely superb with her stage presence, her timing spot on, voice in tune, she was the total professional.
Taught me a lesson. Never judge until you actually hear them live.
Pity she never done some of the dnce routines naked, she looked gorgeous in the flesh. Mods . please delete that line. lol

Plenty of stuff resembling music there, just maybe not the type of music you want to listen to.

I'll bet Madonna puts on a pretty great show to be honest.

I can't stand Madonna's music but she puts everything into her show and works damn hard at it, so I'll watch her just out of respect for her accomplishments.

Still won't enjoy it as much as the Stones :D

I don't, I can't help the fact that one of her songs has been stuck in my head for about 2 months now.

I'm not even a little bit ashamed

I agree that Madonna is a legend and puts on a great show. Too much hip hop in pop culture, however.

Hop hop is wonderful, just maybe not the godawful "trap music" and "pop rap" that currently dominates the charts.

Although I'm not big into their music, I heard LMFAO puts on a really entertaining show. One of my brother's friends took him to one and he said it was a great concert. He said that they always managed to keep the crowd involved with their performance. I give them props for that. Also, a good musician isn't on the list of Mallcore artists.

guide lines to be a good musician

a good musician never lip syncs.

a good musicians main backing is their voice, one or more guitars,a bass, and drums.

a good musician rarely uses a synth as a main instrument.

a good musician puts on a good show.

a good musician doesn't rap.

a good musician just wants to perform.

a good musician doesn't name their band lmfao.

a good musician doesn't name the band after them selves.

a good musician doesn't have a backing band they are the backing band.

What the f*** are these? How ignorant and closed-minded. :?

So basically anything that isn't 40 year old hard rock isn't real music to you?

He said anything with synths, which basically just gives a huge middle finger to 90% of post-rock, most/all electronic genres, whatever the hell bands like Gorrillaz, Portishead, Tomahawk, etc. would be considered, and A TON more. He also said any rap..... I don't even want to get into that. Dismissing an ENTIRE GENRE, just like that? Really?

I dismiss most rap at the first misogynistic comment, that's just me though. If I can find rap I enjoy, I pirate it when I get the time. I do like some computerized music, although I really like straight playing. Basically, any music that isn't acoustic isn't approved by him, considering amps are computers, if you think about it. Also, a lot of artists use pedalboards, which could be considered modifications for the computers known as amps as well.
