Well my frontman 15 watt crapped out after 5 years. My friend turned it on and the light dimmed down then the whole thing just died. Anyone else had this? I tried a different cable, didn't work. I also took it apart and didn't see anything loose or broken. Any suggestions at all would help. If its toast, I'd at least like to try and use the parts to build an amp.

EDIT: Yes I did try a different outlet.

Did you try a different wall outlet?

I have a tube amp, a hot rod deluxe 410. The only reason I liked the frontman was for sentimental reasons and its the only other amp I have. My friend used it while I was teaching him how to play.

...a Line 6 Spider Jam put a big grin on this face, if you are looking for a nuts modeling amp with lots of toy-settings.

Or a nice Fender tube amp, if you are ready....

Like I said, I have a fender tube amp, and I'm not much for modelling amps with a bunch of settings. Just my strat, the hot rod deluxe, and a cable. All I need. Building a new amp would make a neat little project though. Even if it wasn't that great.

Look under the hood and see if the fuse blew. It has happened to a couple of my friends and with their FM amps and it's an easy fix. Just get the right kind of fuse.

And if you need parts for it, I've got em. A neighbor gave me a broken one, no fuse, or knobs, or jacks I think, just the electronics with speaker.

My condolences...When's the funeral? After your grieving period you'll realize you can do better than her...
