I agree . . . she does want romance as any woman would. Sorry to hear about the mishap.

Sounds as tho you lucked out.

Had it happened here, it would have been go to Williams-Sonoma, drop $2K on big name chef real deal genuine article stuff and then buy an armoured jockstrap that would stop a 12 gauge slug, just in case.

Tell your wife that I have always respected her as a person and as a woman...and please hide the shotgun if I'm ever in your neighborhood!

So what's the moral of this story:

1. Women are definately irrational when they are worked up they don't mean what they say, So we can completely ignore it when they do so.
And 2. A few gifts can get you out of a world of Shiet!.

Awesome story thanks for sharing!! :D

At this point (she's still at watercolor class) she's got her new pots and pans, my sincere apology ( ) and three hour-long massages to look forward to. And, of course, I'll take good care of her through the anniversary and Valentine's Day - they're a day apart.

I've still got all my guitars (I think). A thorough inventory would take a while.

As I mentioned earlier, I think this super sentimental, last of the line sauce pan was just the straw that broke the camel's back. I think she went overboard when she lost it and then found herself in a place where she maybe didn't really want to be, but being married to me, figured she'd better stick with her plan. I think seeing me get rid of a guitar (or two) might have pleased her (she's been bugging me for years to sell a few), but it was strictly a no-win for me and it couldn't be allowed to happen.

My thanks for the moral support (and humorous suggestions) shown in comments on this thread as well in the numerous PMs I have received. I sincerely hope she never figures out a way to find this thread!

Whoops, she just pulled in out back. Time for me to get off the computer and start acting innocent. :)

JSJH lives in Chicago. He's not allowed to own a shotgun! Just kidding JS, I'm in southern IL and couldn't resist.
