I bought an Eric Clapton strat and a Hot Rod Deluxe a few weeks ago and just started lessons

I have been trying off and on for years, but this time I am jumping in with both feet.

I've just started learning the guitar again. Picked it up when I was 12 or so then started playing the drums. Been a drummer for 16 years now, and like any good drummer I wanna learn to play the guitar. LOL

He he. I think I've been a musician since infancy, when my mom pumped me chock full of Handel's 'Hallelujah Chorus'. :D

Studied singing and piano since around the same time I started to read. Realised at 14 (that's 1997, for y'all who want some perspective), that the guitar was the path to success in the bedroom. Sadly, as an angry teenage rocker it only made me popular with dudes. I thus tried to add a little 'sensitivity' factor by taking up the Viola at 17. That didn't last long... though my Viola teacher was HOT and I'd give anything to go back to those lessons as the more comfortable individual I am now and suggest she blow off that husband of hers (I'm still mates with her on Facebook!).

Anyway, that's just over 11 years hackin' at the 6-string, and it has defined me since the day I began. Now, if I could figure out how to make some real money out of this music rackett...

I picked up the guitar a 6. I'm now 47 which makes it 41 years.

Just a number though. So many great players and at a so much younger age. Nice to say that you've played that long though.
