Yes! I'm so excited. I was talking with 2 friends today, one who drums and one who plays bass. We might have a pep really coming up, and I'm going to be planning it if we do. So, I might get us the privilege of performing :D

The toss up is between 2 songs to hype everybody up. Either Blitzkrieg Bop or Bad Brain. Both are simple, and all 3 of us can play both of them.

If I don't get shot down by administration, I'll get a video of it. Just the thought of this made me really happy and nervous at the same time. Both of my friends seemed pretty into it though.

Thanks haha. I really want to do this. I've practiced theses songs for about a week straight, trying to get everything perfect.

I've been collaborating with the same drummer since I started playing. We've discussed names before, in case we ever decided to do anything.

Just getting that first gig under the belt, then they'll be no stopping you, best of luck

Thank you. It'l probably only be one song, due to time restrictions and the fact that they don't know how good we'll be. They don't want to let a group that doesn't have their $@!& together wreck a pep rally.

I'm also a bit apprehensive about singing, but it has to be done. (Unless we find a decent singer)

A bit of nervousness is good IMO as long as you can knock out the song reasonably well you'll be good to go, I'd rather listen to that than a cocky so n so who can't, maybe have someone listen to a practice see what they think

I've been taking my guitar to school every other day. people seem to like what they hear, considering I always manage to draw a crowd.

You're going to do fine. I'm facing the same thing. Tomorrow night I'm going to do a show, it will be my first time on stage in over 40 years. I have a new mantra, every time I start to get nervous about it I tell myself, "Don't be a $@!&#". It's kind of like something my dad would tell me and seems to straighten me out.
So Buxom, don't be a $@!&#. Go out there and nail it.

Well my choice of words is apparently on a no no list. Let's just say don't be a kitty.

A thought just occurred to me. What if the drums aren't loud enough. (Large space, plus my amp, plus the bass amp, plus the vocals.)

I just kind of need the drums to be loud. He's a metal player, so I guess he knows how to be loud.

If its a school assembly hall I can't imagine the drums not being loud enough.
