Hi Guys,
I'm new to the Fender Forums and have a question regarding switching channels (clean to overdrive and visa-versa) on a Hot rod Delux. I repair guitar amps from time to time and I've got a friends amp that he says it "pops" when changing chanel. Yes you can hear a slight click when the relays go over (volumes down) and a louder click with the volumes turned up. afterall the relays are switching the audio path and I would have expected some increase in the level of "pop" as he calls it.

Can anyone with a Hot rod Delux say if this is normal or not as I've not realy payed attention to this before and would appreciate some comments?

I have no sound when switching from Clean to Drive. I would think that there is an issue there.

Not having seeen the internals of the amp, if it is a simple relay click, cleaning the contacts should help with that.

Many thanks for the prompt relies guys. Unfortunately all the relays are sealed and therefore cannot be cleaned. I will therefore have to dig a little deeper. Thanks one again.
