I have never really looked into this until recently, but I A/B a marshall dsl 50 and a Vox ac 30 and want to run the chorus and phaser in stereo. The Vox currently has all the modulation effects, while my signal to the marshall is relatively dry. Can I just run my fx loop from one amp to the Left side, and the fx loop from the 2nd amp to the right? I use the 2nd channel on my marshall, so I don't really want to put it in front of the amp.

Many chorus pedals have stereo outputs. That's where you could split the signal. This would mean no more using the A/B box. It would also mean putting your F/X in front of your amps. I suppose you could theoretically run straight into a chorus or other stereo out box, split to your two amps and then keep all else as it was. You'd want to keep that first chorus box set to a very low setting and it would still mean no A/B box.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

When I run stereo I run 3 amps.First I run my guitar and effects chain into my Marshall JCM 800 4210 and then slave the signal into an Ibanez DM1000 Digital Delay and then send the effects signal into a 1969 Fender Bassman with a 2-15 cabinet and a 1966 Leslie Model 16 and then send the dry signal into a JCM 800 2204 model. When I use the Leslie it really throws the effects around so that you have a hard time pin -pointing where the sound is coming from.Technically it's probably closer to a 3 channel surround but if you cut back the volume of the first amp 'til it's almost inaudable you'll get a more realistic stereo sound.
