We all have some ridiculous item of clothing that we love...

It may be garish or unstylish, it may be tattered or worn out...it may just be plain ol' weird, but we just can't seem to part with that item.

I have a ridiculous jacket:

I didn't have this custom-made. Believe it or not, I bought it off the rack at a store in the Parks Mall in Arlington, Texas back in the early 1990's. There was a whole rack of them, but I have only seen one other jacket outside the store; it was hanging on the wall at Charley's Guitar Shop in Dallas.

The orange matched the car I was driving at the time (a 1964 two door/hardtop Falcon Futura, which I still own, but it isn't running right now), so I figured I had to have it. I later bought my Fiesta Red Strat, which further matched it.

It originally had a stylized Texas flag (that was supposed to look like it was waving in the wind) where the Screamin' Armadillos patch is located, but it just didn't look "right"...too many people said, "What is that below the map of Texas?", so I figured I would just do a little self-promotion of the band while fixing it up...

I don't wear it as often as I used to--just for goofy events that it "fits", such as a concert, gig or rodeo.

So, what weird or wacky items of clothing do you have?

Several pairs of skin tight jeans, a red leisure suit, and this one terrible shirt that I don't even want to post because of how embarrassing it is...

I've been forced to get it cut a few times. I'm not cutting it for a while, other than maybe an occasional trim. Where I live, long hair is considered '!@$' by most. Most of the people saying that are the ones who cry over getting mud on their shoes.

I have (hidden in the back of the closet) a 50's vintage white sport coat! I have to hide it or the wife will throw it out. I've been dragging it around for about 30 years, wearing it on those rare occasions now when I devote an entire night to 50s and rockabilly.

Sorry, no know pics of me wearing it - I think the wife threw them out!

I have a skin tight gray leather jump suit. Had to quit wearing it. Hunters got to stalking me. Thought I was a hippopotamouse.

I have a satin Nehru collar shirt with silver brocade on the cuffs and collar.I bought it back in 1968 because it was the biggest thing because all the stars like The Beatles,Jimi Hendrix,Brian Jones,Donovan et al were all wearing them. The shirt won't go near me now but I refuse to let go this remnant of my teen years. I also have a leather bomber jacket that I bought in 1973,the jacket saved me from getting a real bad burn when it was still new and you can still see some scorch marks on the sheeps wool collar but for sentimental reasons I refuse to part with this too.

Where to begin? I've got some nice red stretchy-skinny jeans, suede ankle boots, a lovely parka, one of those t-shirts with a light-up graphic equaliser on it and one I bought in Germany which says "Underground Music Culture", which I find amusing.

I have 2 that I cannot get rid of! First is a mustard colored cardigan sweater that found it's way out of my buddy's grandfather's armiore after he passed on. It's gorgeous, had it for 15 years and consider it to be my lucky sweater. The other is some sort of disco-era polyester shirt. I love the big collar!
