Now whats a drop bear? Is there anywhere safe, Down Under? We in northwestern Washington USA have a fue nasty spiders, Browns / Hobo / and Aggressive House Spiders, but no Snake's/scorpions or some of those other critters. How do you guys deal with it?

Dangerous animals in Aus...It is all a lie to keep people away.
The Spiders are all friendly and the snakes are harmless we would love you to come and visit.
Although you do have to keep your hands from dark place, check your shoes before you put them on, don't walk in long grass without boots on, do not swim early morning and late evening, please leave the jellyfish alone as they are delicate and please do not torment the crocodiles as they are very timid and you will worry them.
Drop Bears are real, very real. Keep away from tall eucalypts
Please come and visit. Happy Australia Day Mates.

Australian Tourist Board.

G'day, I had to work all day on public holiday penalty rates, paying a massive amount of tax.
I've never felt more Aussie.

I managed to get bitten by a grasshopper while on holiday. A grasshopper.

Granted, it was the size of my index finger, but I wasn't expecting it to rock on up to said digit and sink its mandibles into it.

Glad the snakes and stingrays I encountered were less forthcoming in the biting/stinging department.
