I may have missed it, but is placing a "For Sale Ad " OK. Just trying to make sure if I had one, I could place it and stay within the rules.

How about adding a buy/sell section?

Exactly, If FMIC is ok with it that would be the most appropriate place to put them.

I greatly appreciate you askin' before doin'. That said, we unfortunately really can't allow "for sale" ads, links to online auctions, etc., right now. Allowing that sort of activity instantly introduces a whole additional layer of legal liability that we simple are not equipped to assume at this stage in the game.

There's a very brief mention of this topic deep within the Terms of Use but in reviewing that doc I'm realizing I really need to pull it out a bit more prominently and spell this out verbatim in the Code of Conduct as well.

Again, that was mighty kind of you to ask before posting an ad and I hope you'll understand the reasons we can't make it happen right now.

Thank you Brad, there are plenty of places to buy/sell gear on the net. I would really not like this site to become a big bazaar. Thumbs up!

Thank you, Brad. It's nice to see some civility from the mods around these parts. This is on its way to becoming the online Fender community.

Yep, this site is good and has a lot of potential. Much better than the other Fender site on the interweb.

Now Now , no need to be knocking others. Every site has it's own merits, lets be civil.

that made me laugh for some reason, probably recalling 300 when he says "let's be civil while stabbing a man through the heart"

thats a great movie by the way, but pretty graphic

to stay on topic, theres plenty of for sale sites, the only way i could see ads on here is a specific buy / sell forum, which i probably wouldn't use much
