I'm pretty pumped. I just ordered a Rouge RA-100 from Amazon. I had some birthday money from my old man and since I don't own an acoustic, thought it was time to get one.

Its a pretty cheap guitar but if I do a little work to it, maybe it won't be completely unplayable.

I'll post pictures once it arrives.

I got one of these in that package deal with the mandolin for $75 a couple of years ago. I wanted to take up mandolin but didn;t want to drop a ton of money until I knew my fat fingers could play one. At the time the package was cheaper then the mando itself so...

The mandolin was killer right out of the box. The guitar? with a set of 11's and a change of tuners it's not a bad guitar to take out of the house and not care if anything happens. As long as you got it cheap (under $60) then it should be fine.

Yeah I bought some Fender's to throw on it, although it said it came with Martin strings, so its probably not that bad. Like I said, it just gives me a start.

It's not a bad starter. Muc better then the "starter" guitars of my youth. After this I would look into a Yamaha FG700S ofr Recording King for a dear size. Or Recording King/ Loar for a small body blues box. All are killer guitars and not just killer for the money.
