Jim, but girls like to call me Jimmi, or James for some reason,
my friends call me Slim, or Jim or slimjim.

Glad this thread was started. I like knowing the names of people that I chat with.

My name is Jerry.

If it is available, I always use "jmallard" as my username/handle on any forum and I always fill out my profile. Not that I mind, but I never understood why lots of people just have a username and that's it. :)

Me, I don't have anything to hide.

"Mallard" is my last name; and yes, Mallard, like a duck! And, yes, I always get that when I meet someone new but, I generally try to say it first.

I even have a poem about my last name, but not suitable for a family forum. I'll PM it to you if you care. :)

Jerry

How is an old fart like me s'pposed to keep all those names in mind?? :?

Wouldn't it be easier to just put your names or nicknames into your signatures? It would at least help my brain quite a bit!

Anyhow, mine's Dee (international friends of mine came up with that nick because they always wondered how to pronounce "Dieter", my first name. I answered: "just pronounce it as Deeter in English".)

Another old fart here.

I agree Dee or just sign your name in the post itself, like I do :D

Jerry

It's Jim...

Well James actually, but the only times in my life anyone called me James was usually followed by a reprimand... often deserved.

But, once I learn how to really play (whenever that may be), I'm changing my name to an unpronounceable string of Tantric symbols followed by: The Artist formerly known as Jim.

cheers!

Mr. Nylon is a given name by a few. The birth certificate said Glenn.

My first name is Alex, but since AlexY was already taken when I joined, I chose AlexeiY. When I told my wife the name was a Russian version of Alex, she replied "but you're never in a hurry to do anything".
Go figure :?

edit: Thanks to SBLS for resurrecting this thread...... 8)
