Hey everyone!

I bought a Fender Mexican Strat in the 28th of December and I'm noticing something strange. Whenever I play the high E and B strings, the sound comes out soft. However, when I play E, A, D or G, the sound comes out louder. All this happens without changing the volume.

I have a Roland Cube XL amp and the strings are the ones that came with the guitar. Could any of these two factors be the cause of my problem? If not, what can I do?

Thank you very much!

Try adjusting the pickups or take back to the store and ask them to do it.

By pickups do you mean their height?

it could be a height issue.

you can do it yourself- but do it in slow steps

or- they can do it for you at the store

Make sure both of the saddles screws on each saddle are touching the bridge plate.

I was searching the net and found this website:

http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/i ... ic=13846.0

I followed the instructions, put the pickups on their correct heights and now my baby is singing! Thanks for the help, everybody!

I think I've figured out the problem...according to the title of this thread, you have no "R" in your strings...that's wear the higher frequencies come from, so you would not hear the notes from that end of the pickups, because you're using "stings" instead of "strings"... :P

...unless the bassist for the Police has cloned himself, and you're talking about plural Gordon Sumner(s).

Sounds like you need the raise your saddle on those strings about a half turn.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
