Truly a great coach. Penn State was his life, perhaps he had nothing left.

RIP Joe Pa...Probably one of the finest college football coaches ever! That is what he should be remembered for...it is what he was.

I an not a Penn State fan, so I can say this honestly and without prejudice either way.

We don't know what Joe knew about Jerry Sandusky. We don't know what (if anything) he reported to the Board of Regents or the police.

If he knew something wicked and kept it under his hat, I feel the same way as the OP. if he was in the dark, or followed protocol and then either the Board of Regents or the police did nothing, then I feel less disgust at him.

Let's give him the chance that the law (nominally) gives everybody: innocent until proven guilty.

Or in this case - innocent until proven dead. I think he just gave it up when his world was turned inside out.

Not knowing the extent of his knowledge or involvement if any in these issues, I reserve my openion. The man was a great coach. I guess thats all we should remember. RIP Joe.
