If Steve's family and friends happen to see this then know that in far away places people you've never met have you in their thoughts and hearts.

Nothing i can say would be sufficient, but as has already been said he seemed a real good`en and was one of us. If any way of sending over a gesture can be organised i`d gladly contribute.

Our time here is so short. :(

I emailed the funeral place. Asked em if we send flowers/cards there, will they forward them to KC's family.

Mike, it don't just suck. It blows too

Even though I have never met Steve and now unfortunately never will I still considered him a good friend as were shared many common musical interests and I looked up to him as he was a member of a 60s band that most of us knew-The Fireballs, he had joined after the original leader Jimmy Gilmer had left but they had a number of smaller hits on their own such as Goin' Away . Anyway my heartfelt prayers and thoughts go out to Steve's family,I'm sure that I speak for all forum members in saying that he was a first rate guy who never had a bad or negative word for anyone and that he'll be sorely missed.I guess that right now he's in his glee jamming with all his heroes who went on before.Rock On In Heaven Steve-God Bless You and may He also comfort your family at this hard time.

Thought about Steve today and wanted to locate this thread.

for Steve:

This farewell song we're singing for you
'cause we miss you so, yes all of you
when you were good or bad, happy or sad
just having you near us, we were glad
we aren't worried now, we know where you are
you're on that big stage in heaven, playing your guitar
playing originals, some choice covers too
and when the crowd wants an encore, you'll play 'em the blues
so please wait for us there, we'll come when we can
then our band will regroup for a heavenly jam

miss you much Bro

Man, I just read every post on this thread and I'm feeling pretty sad now. I remember reading some posts from him and although I don't think I ever talked to him much, he was a really good bloke.

It kind of makes me think about this forum. You know, we all lead lives- but sometimes coming to this forum can sometimes be like sitting around warm fire to cosy from the dark & blistering cold. Some people need an outlet, to come here and share a passion and to focus on some good while we have our own battles going on. Be it personal, health, relationships or money... Fighting our own demons, What ever it may be.

Me, both my parents have had cancer. I lost my dad to it. I don't hate many things on this planet, but I bloody hate cancer. I loathe it, and its evil. Something I wish would just have an end to its existence altogether. It runs deep inside me and it won't go away, never. Not till I draw my last breath on this earth.

I just have to give my heart to anyone who has it or is affected by it and I wish KCFireballs family are doing alrite. I pray that there is no hurt and I pray that KC is in a good place, and that he is remembered by all that have crossed lives with him.

Life is precious.
