Hell, I even like Dragonforce, my first real concert was a DF concert. I also like Tool.

Tool is easily one of my favorite bands in the world. A Perfect Circle and Puscifer are just as good. I don't have heroes, but Maynard is as close to one as I have.

Well, let's see what I take away from all of this (so far):

He is having a midlife crisis; his long career and broad playing abilities are both on the down swing; he is obsessed with a a medieval Norse god and pinch harmonics; he exhibits egotistical and general anti-social behavior; if he would choose to play Fender guitars, all the aforementioned may be rectified. Yet, in spite of it all, he still has a large fan base.

Is this about right or did I miss anything?

That about what I got out of it. I neither like or dislike him, he's just another guitar player and I don't know him.

I can't say that I either like or dislike Zakk Wylde lets just say that I'm indifferent about him. From interviews that he's done that I've read I've picked up two things about him that tend to turn me off him : first-he's very vain and full of himself. second-he quite literally isn't able to get one sentence out without an expletive in it. I can rhyme off multi-syllable oaths at times myself so I'm no prude ( I won't take The Lord's name in vain despite this) but there is absolutely no need for the use of these profanities to the extent that he spouts them off.As far as I'm concerned it shows that his vocabulary is too limited to use the proper word or words so he replaces them with an expletive-what an inarticulate cretin!!!

Great! Best song on the album was Fields, second was Molly, third was Plowed. I have both Wax Ecstatic and Rotting Pinata, and they were a steal. I payed $6 for both of them, brand new.

The '90s were the best decade for music, ever.

I'd say best total years was 1950-2000 There's too much amazing music to list that came out, so much change in society, and so much action. Just so much going on, and the music seems to change with it. I'd say one of the biggest turning points was Woodstock/(Iforgottheconcert) but when that really powerful performance of Machine Gun was done. The song didn't even need words. There was so much power in what JH was doing that night. It's honestly very emotional. But yes, the 90s had a ton of amazing performers. I love Sponge's ability to keep everything simple, and yet still be so powerful with words/sounds. It's almost hard to wrap your mind around.
