I guess I don't get it. It just seems to be another form of technically proficient yet soulless music.

I did enjoy watching the "classical" version, though...not just because of the attractive young ladies but because the arrangment was more interesting (yeah, that's it, that's the reason! If it had been four hairy fat guys I wouldn't have watched for three seconds). :P

Most of these newer (sic) music forms are looped melodic passages lifted from keyboard based bands like Yes, Genesis, King Crimson et al with quasi vocal reproductions lifted with lyrics changed. There will always be young musical people willing to for-go the creative process and just use other musicians efforts as their own but at least they are doing something instead of nothing at all.

I only listen to Dubstep when I take a $@!&. It just has the same effect as laxatives.

go to about 1:38.this is the crap that all my friends want to listen to,they're under the allusion that it is music.but all I hear is crap!

Now imagine being a freshman in college with this crap. Save me.

Anyway, I play a cover of "pumped up kicks" with a capo and four chords and one of my friends prefers it over the real version because "it sounds real without the extra crap"
