My wife recently bought me a can of Finger Ease or something like that. I have yet to use it. Supposedly you spray on the strings and also on the back of the neck to allow for smoother playing. Anyone use this stuff and are there consequences from using it on my guitar suck as hurting the finish, fretboard, decrease the life of strings? Just never used it before and was wondering if anyione else uses it or has some knowledge concerning it. Thanks!

I use it now and then in lieu of Fast-Fret, which is a mineral oil wipe. My partner uses it all the time. Common sense should tell you that a product that has been around for 35+ years isn't likely to be harmful to your guitar's finish or strings - who would buy something that damaged their guitar? It's good stuff. Spray it on your strings lightly and let it dry and you can spray the back of the neck and polish it. Don't spray it directly on your hands.
