Saw this yesterday:

Shows both how mastering effects can bring some brilliant rewards, and how they can ruin a gig!

Wow I did not know I already knew how to play "In The Name of Love". Too funny.

The thing with effects is they can be great but when you're playing at home you usually can't be bothered hooking them up! at least i can't! i tend to just play through an amp with no effects when i'm playing at home. Another thing is when you play without effects you tend to concentrate more on vibrato, tone and feeling IMO instead of listening to your echo echoing or whatever.

Not to say i don't like effects, on the contrary, i have loads but i sometimes don't know if they're worth the money when you can plug in crank up and go!
