Mohamed, Ali is 70 years old today. Happy Birthday CHAMP. As a kid growing up from about my 17Th. year (Cassius, Clay) as he was known then, was one of the most controversial characters in the country. Dancing around the ring spouting poetry and claiming to be prity. What a showman he was. And that old guy Howard Cosell kept spurring him on like a little Banty Rooster. As a huge boxing fan all my life I never had any respect for Ali, First of all I am not for war but Ali could have went into the service to at least lift the spirits of the troops - he would have never seen any action and none of the 60,000 americans who died had them viet-cong do nothing to them as Ali said.

Second would be the god awful things he said to Joe Frazier, Joe was deeply hurt and took it to the grave with him.
