I'm in England, and I bought a Fender USA Standard Jazz from a Fender registered dealer yesterday, that advertised the £90 rebate on their site. There's nothing inside the case explaining how you actually claim the rebate. Do I have to register the product online? If so, is there any estimation as to when the product registration service is going to be functioning again? There's only 4 more days left in which it can be claimed.

it's an instant rebate so it should have been applied at time of purchase by the shop. at least that's what guitar guitar did when i bought my bass off them.

Yes, the rebate was instant at the time of purchase. Did you purchase it from an "authorized Fender Dealer"? If so, then they were so suppose to honor that instant rebate when you purchased at the register. If not, complain like hell and if they don't honor it, call Fender's customer service ASAP.

Fender is really good with their customers. I know this first hand. A few years ago, my blues jr was becoming faulty. I took it in to one of the "authorized Fender service center" in my area. The service center told me that it had a faulty pot and it would take about a week for it to be fixed, well a week ended up being five weeks, to make the story short. I called Fender customer service directly and told them I felt I was getting the round around with one of their "service centers". Fender immediately contacted the service center in question the same day and Fender ordered the service center to ship the defective amp back to Fender and Fender arranged to have a "NEW" replacement, next day shipment directly to me. Fender means business when it comes to their customers, and in return they have a loyal customer for life. Thank you Fender!!!

Hmm, the way the member of staff I spoke with worded it over the phone, I got the impression I'd to sort that myself, but I did directly ask him whether the rebate still applied (it was advertised on their website). I'll have to check with my bank tomorrow whether or not it's there. I just checked on the Fender website and they are an authorised dealer, so hopefully I've just misunderstood and it'll be there when I check.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

As stated above, the rebate should have come off the purchase price at the time of sale. If you check the Musician's Friend web site, for example, you see that their pricing shows the net price, with a nice clear notation of Instant Rebate. I know you bought it from a dealer, but they should have sold you the guitar for regular price, LESS the Instant Rebate. You aren't going to find any rebate at your bank - go back where you bought the guitar and DEMAND THE DIFFERENCE!

If it's like the USA rebate, its an instant rebate.

I bought a Lefty MIM Strat from a large Fender dealer in a major city back in December. I had to bring up the subjectof the rebate and got it at point of sale. The Dealer claimed he had not heard anything from Fender about a "rebate"

Go back and get your ask for rebate cash.

You should have had the rebate taken off the ticket price at final check out.

I recently bought my Mexican Strat at a dealer in Scotland and thats what they did, I didn't even have to ask for it, they offered it immediately.

I would check your receipt and get back in touch with them, if they haven't taken into account

The recent rebate offer that Fender was running ended Dec. 31. As others have stated, the rebate should have been applied at time of purchase. I bought a classic vibe tele during the offer and all the models involved were advertised at the discounted price. All the prices went up Jan. 1.

Hi I'm in England also

The rebate should have been deducted at the checkout an instant rebate. Here is a link to a list of guitars on the promotion from the website.

http://www.fender.com/en-GB/promos/2011/rebate

Doesn't sound like the salesperson knew much about the rebate and its details I recently bought an FSR tele in silverburst and asked up it was included in the rebate scheme sadly it was not. E-mail fender consumerrelations@fender.com for more info advise.

Hope this helps

I'm not sure what site you got it from but yes you should get it right away.

For example on the GAK site there is the regular add to cart option or lower down the rebate option which adds it to your cart with the £90 off rather than full price.
